Arno Zang (Prof. Dr.) Cofounder
Arno leads DynaFrax's scientific programming and strategy development. Arno received his Ph.D. from the J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt am Main in 1991. Since 1993, Arno has worked at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam German Research Centre for Geosciences as a senior staff scientist. Arno also works as an apl. Professor at the University of Potsdam (Germany) in the Institute for Earth and Environmental Sciences. He currently works at Section 2.6 Seismic Hazard and Risk Dynamics, where he was involved in the development of the THM coupled geoprocess simulator with Jeoung Seok. Arno recently conducted a tunnel-scale hydraulic fracturing experiment in Äspö Hard Rock Laboratory in Sweden, where he tested the concept of cyclic-fatigue hydraulic fracturing.
Arno's expertise is:
Rock fracture mechanics and rock physics
Energy technologies (geothermal, shale, repository)
Stress field of the Earth's crust and underground experiments
Analysis of induced seismicity
