Founded in June 2018 as a start-up of the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) with the support of the Helmhotlz Enterprise program (Innovation and Networking Fund of the Helmholtz Association).

We provide our customers with solutions to the challenges in dealing with the dynamic behaviour of sub-surface fracture systems in a highly heterogeneous, complex and discontinuous crust to ensure an environmental friendly (minimized hazard and risk) and efficient/optimized use of underground resources, space and energy.

Exciting News!

DynaFrax is now the sole owner of FRACOM Oy and the FRACOD software series. FRACOD is a computer program developed for simulation of fracture initiation and propagation and rock failure analysis. FRACOD is designed with the aim of predicting the fracture propagation and interaction of randomly distributed fractures in an elastic rock medium.
